X Jubilee Russian Industrial Exhibition ‘EXPO Russia — Jordan 2011’, Amman City, Jordan

The X Jubilee Russian Industrial Exhibition ‘EXPO Russia — Jordan 2011’ took place on 7th – 9th March 2011 at the Le Meridien Hotel exhibition center.

The exhibition organizers were ‘Zarubezh-Expo’ plc. and the World Funds International Association. The exhibition was held with the assistance of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, the Russian Federation Embassy in Jordan, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Iraq Embassy in the Russian Federation, the Russian Federation Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Russian Federation Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Jordan Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Jordan Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, etc.

The aim of the exhibition is to extend the economic relations between the Russian Federation and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and to develop the trilateral cooperation between Jordan, Iraq and Russia.

The main thematic sections of the exhibition are: Power Industry, Engineering Industry, Oil and Gas, Chemistry, Telecommunications and Communications, Agriculture, Tourism and Construction Industry.

The Russian Federation Ambassador in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mr. Kalugin A.M., Chairman of the Jordanian part of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Senator Mr. Nael Al Kabariti, Minister of Transport of Jordan Mr. Mohannad Qudah, Chairman of the Russian Part of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, Chairman of ‘Systema-Invest’ plc. Board of Directors Mr. Novitskyi E.G., the Exhibition Organizing Committee Chairman Vartanov D.R., Head of ‘Rossotrudnichestvo’ in Jordan Mr. Dorofeev A.A., Heads of Russian, Jordanian, Iraqi and Syrian companies attended the official opening ceremony of the X Jubilee Russian Industrial Exhibition ‘EXPO Russia — Jordan 2011’.

Over 60 Russian enterprises participated directly and with their expositions in the exhibition. They are: State Corporation ‘Rosatom’, Concern ‘Rosenergoatom’ plc., ‘Atomstoyexport’ c.c., ‘Atomenergoproekt’ plc., ‘Atomenergoprom’ plc., ‘OKB Gidropress’ plc., Financial Group of Companies ‘Solid-bank’, ‘Zarubezhneft’ plc., ‘Company of Trailers ‘Capri’ c.c., ‘Proton’ plc., Scientific Production Center ‘Anod’, ‘PetrokhimInzhiniring’ c.c., ‘Rostselmash’ plc., Electric Machine Building Plant ‘Eldin’ plc., ‘Corporation ‘TIRA’, ‘Russian Railroads Corporation’ plc., Company ‘Yug Rusi’, Sverdlovskyi Plant of Current Transformers, Salavatskyi Catalyst Plant, Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Group ‘GAZ’, etc.

During the exhibition the meetings, conferences and round-table meetings concerning the prospective long-term directions of trade and economic cooperation were arranged in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Transport. Also the presentations of the Russian companies were made.

To sum up the results of the exhibition a number of Executives from Jordan Ministries and Departments, members of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, Officials of the Russian Federation Embassy in Jordan and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Embassy in the Russian Federation as well as several representatives and Heads of the Russian companies, which had taken an active part in the exhibition and hold at that period of time events, were awarded with a commemorative jubilee symbol ‘For Contribution to Development of Russian-Jordanian Economic Relations’.
