Second Arab Exhibition in Moscow ‘Arabia – EXPO’

II International Exhibition ‘Arabia – EXPO’ with the participation of the Arab, Russian and European companies was held at the International Exhibition Center ‘Crocus-Expo’ on 7-9^th June. The Exhibition had national exhibition halls of the Arab countries, including Bahrain, Algeria, Tunisia, Palestine, Morocco, Jordan along with expositions of the Russian companies, which are interested to enter and develop the Arab market, such as Arzamasskiy Plant of Communal Machine Building “KOMMASH” plc., ‘NPK “Uralvagonzavod” plc., Firm “Transgidrostroy” Co Ltd., “VAO “Inturist” plc., Close Corporation “Institute “Orgenergostroy” and others. Also the companies from Finland, Slovenia and Ukraine took part in the exhibition. The subject matter of the exhibition covered a wide range of the mutual interest cooperation areas.

The exhibition was held with the assistance of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the Russian-Arab Business Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the League of Arab States, the General Union of Arab States Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the Embassies of Russia in Arab countries and the Diplomatic Missions of Arab States in Moscow.

The distinguishing feature of this year exhibition was its eventful business program:

• IX session of the Russian-Arab Business Council;
• The conference ‘Russia – Arab World. Round 2’, which was arranged by the Research Center Al-Jizeera in collaboration with the broadcasting in the Arabic language Russian TV-channel ‘Rusiya Al-Yaum’, the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian-Arab Business Council;
• Numerous round table meetings concerning topical areas of cooperation.
