Business Meeting of RJBC Deputy Chairman Mr. Valeriy Kononenko with Secretary General of Jordan Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Radi A. Tarawneh

The business meeting of Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Deputy Chairman Mr. Valeriy Kononenko with Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Radi A. Tarawneh took place on 27^th April 2011. The Officials of the Overseas Communication and Information Departments were also in the meeting.

This meeting was held as a part of arrangements of Minister of Agriculture of Jordan Mr. Samir Habashneh’s visit to the Russian Federation in June 2011. The negotiators considered and agreed on a list of points which should be labored to arrange and hold the oncoming Minister’s visit to Russia at the highest level satisfying the interests of both parties. The issues concerning the agricultural products export promotion from Jordan to Russia and the prospects for development of further mutually beneficial cooperation between the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and the Jordan Ministry of Agriculture were under discussion.

To get a better understanding of the state and potential of the Jordanian agricultural products and to make a real appraisal of volume of agricultural products exports a number of meetings and talks with the leaders of Agricultural Products Producers Associations, Farmers Associations, Transport and Logistics companies of Jordan were planned and arranged.
