Jordan and Russia Discuss Economic Cooperation

Alina Rakhmankulova, Arafnews Materials Petra /Chairman of Jordan Chamber of Commerce Nael Al-Kabariti and Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council Valeriy Kononenko discussed the development of economic, trade and investment cooperation between the countries and preparation for the Jordanian-Russian Economic Forum, which is going to be held in the first quarter of 2016.

Al-Kabariti said that the bilateral cooperation offered great opportunities. Jordan is attractive as a business partner due to its security and stability as well as well-developed infrastructure and services sector. According to him, both Jordan and Russia have a great deal of high-quality products that are used for trade exchange between two countries. In addition, he stressed a significant role of the tourism sector for the enhancement of the bilateral cooperation.

Valeriy Kononenko emphasized his country’s interest in strengthening of economic ties and trade relations with Jordan noting the attractiveness of the business environment in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in terms of the prospects for deepening of the bilateral cooperation.
