Jordan will focus on roads and traffic with EGNOS

Within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership (EUROMED), October 21, Jordan will hold an event dedicated to the use of GNSS, in particular the European GNSS, for freight and road transport. The event will be held at the Sheraton Al Nabil, in Amman.

Under the auspices of the Ministry of Transport of Jordan, the event will have a goal to share experiences and discuss strategies and steps for the use of satellite navigation for the roads and traffic in the country.

The organizer of the event – a project MEDUSA, which carried the royal Jordanian customs with the help of the Ministry of Transport of Jordan. Beginning in April, with the support of European companies involved in the project, the Jordanian royal customs officers had the opportunity to test and evaluate the benefits of the European GNSS, in particular EGNOS, detection and tracking of containers transported by sea through the Mediterranean, and the cars are delivered to Jordan various loads .
