6th Jordanian Businessmen Association Forum begins tomorrow

The 6th Jordanian Businessmen Association Forum will start tomorrow , with the aim of discussing the investment climate in Jordan as well as other economic issues.

During the two-day event, which will be organized by the Jordanian Businessmen Association (JBA) and Jordan Investment Board in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a total of 500 Jordanian businesspeople inside and outside Jordan will discuss the latest economic developments and review the investment opportunities in the Kingdom.

Deputy Prime Minister and State Minister Rajai Muasher will deliver a speech at the opening session that will focus on the government’’s efforts to develop the investment climate, according to a statement issued by the JBA.

President of the JBA Senator Hamdi Tabba” will also review the private sector’’s point of view on current economic issues and its role in pushing economic and social development forward Other speakers will include Minister of Industry and Trade Amer Hadidi, who will highlight the impact of the global economic crisis on Jordan’’s economy.

Finance Minister Mohammad Abu Hammour will also discuss financial policies and their role in promoting investment while Planning and International Cooperation Minister Jafaar Hassan will review the 2010-2013 development program.

Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan Dr.

Umayya Toukan will also highlight the role of Jordanian expatriates in developing the national economy.
