Business visit to Jordan in April 2007

Mr. Valeriy Kononenko, Deputy Chairman of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, Russian Part, went to Jordan on a business visit in April 2007. He met with Mr.Omar Maani, Mayor of Amman and discussed the questions of cooperation with the Russian-Jordanian Business Council. Mr. Kononenko also met with Prof. Mostafa M. Qrunfleh, Jordan Minister of Agriculture, and discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the spheres of recovery of soil fertility, soil treatment, development of irrigation systems, etc. Mr. Kononenko met with Mr. Jeryes Samawi, Secretary General of Jordan Ministry of Culture, Princess Rim Ali, Pernilla Frykholm, Ali Maher (officials from the Royal Committee of Cinematography in Jordan), officials from the Jordanian-Russian Friendship Society, women’s public and charity organizations, and officials of the Baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River Complex. They discussed the possibilities of cooperation between Russia and Jordan in these spheres through the Russian-Jordanian Business Council.
