RJBC Deputy Chairman, Director Mr. Kononenko Meets Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Ziad Kh. Al-Majali

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Ziad Kh. Al-Majali, RJBC Deputy Chairman, Director Mr. Kononenko

On 24^th October 2013 at the Jordan Embassy in Moscow, Deputy Chairman, Director of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Mr. Kononenko had a business meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Russian Federation H.E. Mr. Ziad Kh. Al-Majali. The meeting was held within the framework of preparation for the first plenary session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development, which is to take place on 6^th November 2013 in Amman City, Jordan.

In the first place, on behalf of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and on his behalf Mr. Valeriy A. Kononenko felicitated H.E. Mr. Ziad Kh. Al-Majali on the occasion of his appointment to a high and responsible post of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in the Russian Federation and wished him every success in diplomatic activities and implementation of trade and economic, scientific and technical as well as socially-desirable projects aimed at further development of mutually beneficial cooperation and reinforcement of friendly ties between Russia and Jordan.

The Ambassador thanked Mr. Kononenko for his congratulations and, in his turn, noted a high level of existing between two countries relations in various areas of cooperation. After having studied attentively and thoroughly the provided data about the activities of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, H.E. Mr. Ziad Kh. Al-Majali emphasized the necessity of further intensifying of relations between Russia and Jordan seeking to intensification of collaboration between businessmen from both countries in order to increase the bilateral trade and promote business, innovation and investment cooperation.

Also the participants of the meeting discussed the matters concerning preparation for the first plenary session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development, which is taking place on 6^th November 2013 in Amman City, Jordan.

In the course of the meeting the Parties stressed the need for further joint operation intended for maintenance and further development of already established contacts in different spheres of cooperation including enhancement of business missions exchange, participation of Russian and Jordanian companies in international and special-purpose exhibitions, forums, and conferences in the territories of both countries.

Summing up the meeting, the negotiators considered the matters regarding further cooperation between the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and the Jordan Embassy in Moscow in the area of coordination of joint Russian-Jordanian projects which are going to be implemented both in a Russia’s and Jordan’s territories.
