RJBC Deputy Chairman, Director Mr. Kononenko Has Working Meeting with Secretary General of Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation H.E. Ms. Toukan

 On 1st March 2020, at the Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, Deputy Chairman and Director of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC), Mr. Kononenko, had a working meeting with Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, H.E. Ms. Zeina Zeid Toukan.

 The Fifth Meeting of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development, which took place on 12th – 13th November 2019 in Amman, resulted in signing the Protocol of further wider cooperation on constructive and mutually beneficial basis in cooperation areas of mutual interest for both sides.

 Therefore, to start with, the Parties focused on a number of programs and projects in trade, economic and investment cooperation, cooperation in the fields of tourism, energy, agriculture, healthcare and collaboration between business councils as well as cooperation in the field of information technologies and mass communications.

 In the course of the meeting the Parties discussed the private sector representatives’ and other entrepreneurs’ associations’ participation in the work of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission as well as the feasible cooperation options in the intergovernmental programs and projects in the abovementioned cooperation fields.

 H.E. Ms. Zeina Zeid Toukan noted a major contribution of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council, “YSAR+“ JSC and “N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Centre for Oncology“ FSBI to implementation of the innovative project for the healthcare system in Jordan. H.E. Ms. Toukan expressed her confidence that the implementation of the project for the improvement of early detection of oncological diseases by way of automation of breast cancer screening using “The System of Description, Recommendations and Statistics of Mammographic Screening” (SORS-MS), which was developed by the “YSAR+” JSC, would be successful.

 To sum up, the participants of the meeting agreed on necessity to intensify further collaboration and interactions between the RJBC and the Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in coordination of joint Russian-Jordanian projects launched both in a Russia’s and Jordan’s territories.
