RJBC Deputy Chairman&Director Mr. Kononenko Meets Secretary General of Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation H.E. Mr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh

On September 16th, 2014, Deputy Chairman&Director of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC), Mr. Kononenko, had a business meeting with Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, at the Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation’s premises.

In pursuance of the Russian Federation Government’s Instruction № АД-П2-5331 of 11/09/2012 about the establishment of the Intergovernmental Commission with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, on March 28th, 2013 an Agreement on the Establishment of the Intergovernmental Commission between the Russian Federation and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation Development was signed. On the Russian Federation Government’s Order №734-р dated May 2nd, 2013 the Russian Federation Minister of Agriculture, Mr. Fyodorov, was appointed as the Russian Party Chairman of the abovementioned Intergovernmental Commission.

The First joint Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development took place in Amman City, Jordan, on November 6^th, 2013. Under the instruction of the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, RJBC Deputy Chairman&Director, Mr. Kononenko, had a meeting with Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, H.E. Mr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh, in order to propose the possible format and provisional dates for the Second Session of the Commission in Moscow City, Russia, and examine the possibility for private sector representatives and other entrepreneurs associations from both Sides to take part in the Commission Session activities.

In conclusion, the Parties focused on further promotion of the bilateral relations by using a successful experience of the Business Councils in accordance with a high dynamics in development of the Russian-Jordanian cooperation in different areas.
