On 28th March 2016 at the Jordan Ministry of Transport, Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Deputy Chairman&Director, Mr. Valeriy Kononenko, had a business meeting with Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Transport, H.E. Mr. Ammar Gharaybeh.

The Parties of the meeting summed up the participation of such leading Russian companies specialized in manufacturing of civil aircrafts and different types of vehicles as JSC “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft”, OJSC “Scientific and Production Corporation “Irkut”, JSC “Russian Helicopters”, JSC “VNIIRA”, JSC “Almaz-Antey” Air and Space Defence Corporation”, “GAZ Group”, LLC “Military Industrial company” in the events within the Third Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development, the Russian-Jordanian Business Forum as well as a number of round-table discussions with participation of the representatives from the Jordanian major air carriers and passenger air service airlines. The Parties noted that Russia and Jordan have broad prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation in these directions.

In compliance with the agreement reached, the Parties elaborated a list of additional questions relating to the structural and technical features, investment attractiveness of the projects offered for further joint consideration.

In the end, the negotiators focused on possible ways for further mutually advantageous cooperation between the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and the Jordan Ministry of Transport in the area of joint Russian-Jordanian projects coordination both in a Russia’s territory and in a Jordan’s territory.
