RJBC Deputy Chairman&Director Mr. Kononenko Meets Russian Federation Consul in Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mr. Sagidov

On 25^th November 2016, at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Deputy Chairman and Director, Mr. Valeriy Kononenko, had a meeting with the Russian Federation Consul in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Magomed Sagidov.

The participants of the meeting discussed the activities of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and its role in further development of trade and economic, scientific and technical cooperation between Russia and Jordan.

The Consul looked through the provided data with a lively interest and stressed that it was important to introduce promptly the practical mechanisms which can help to carry out the Russian-Jordanian Business Council’s decisions regarding the increase of the trade turnover, finding out the obstacles and possible ways to overcome them, and expanding investment opportunities in different areas of collaboration.

Mr. Sagidov also called the RJBC’s attention to the need for further promotion of trade and economic, scientific and technical, innovation cooperation based on real interests and a mutual benefit in accordance with the dynamics of the Russian-Jordanian relations.

The Consul spoke favorably of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council’s activities and expressed confidence that its good image and positive role would favor the further deepening of economic, investment and political cooperation between Russia and Jordan.

For his part, the RJBC Deputy Chairman and Director, Mr. Kononenko, thanked the Consul for his timely and constructive assistance in arranging the visits of Jordanian delegations and businessmen to Russia, as well as for rendering help to the Russian-Jordanian Business Council in solving some technical and organizational issues.

In the conclusion, Mr. Kononenko informed the Consul about the forthcoming Fourth Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development and the Russian-Jordanian Business Forum in the first two quarters of 2017 in Moscow, and invited him to take part in the official events.

Mr. Sagidov supported the idea of holding the events and wished the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and all the participating Russian companies every success in Jordan market development.
