RJBC Deputy Chairman, Director Mr. Kononenko Meets Minister of Health H.E. Dr. Ghazi M. Zaben

 On 20th December 2018, at the Jordan Ministry of Health, Deputy Chairman, Director of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Mr. Kononenko had a business meeting with Minister of Health H.E. Dr. Ghazi Mansour Zaben.

 In the course of the meeting the negotiators discussed cooperation between the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and the Jordan Ministry of Health in the area of joint Russian-Jordanian projects coordination. Also the Parties dealt with the questions of collaboration between enterprises of the Jordan Ministry of Health and Russian medical institutions as well as medical scientific research institutes.

 Mr. Kononenko brought to the Minister’s attention presentations of the leading Russian medical companies interested in working in the territory of Jordan, including the «YSAR+» Joint Stock Company, which is a leading Russian developer and integrator of IT systems in the field of healthcare, and the biggest in Russia and Europe «N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Centre for Oncology» Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. At the moment these companies are dealing with elaboration of the issue about the implementation of an innovative pilot project concerning automation and standardization of the Breast Cancer Screening in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

 Mr. Kononenko, as a coordinator of this project in the territory of Jordan, informed the Minister about a number of events that the companies «YSAR+» JSC and «N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Centre for Oncology» FSBI have already fulfilled.

 Minister of Health H.E. Dr. Ghazi Mansour Zaben and the leading experts of the Jordan Ministry of Health, who were present at the meeting, showed keen interest and gave much attention to the provided information, took a favorable view of the preliminary results of the «YSAR+» JSC and «N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Centre for Oncology» FSBI activities in this direction.

 Mr. Kononenko asked the Jordan Ministry of Health to prepare the list of priority requirements of the healthcare institutions in Jordan for implementation of the project for automation and standardization of the Breast Cancer screening in the territory of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Also, he submitted to the Minister a draft Cooperation Agreement for automation and standardization of Breast Cancer screening in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, which is to be concluded between the Ministry of Health of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, «YSAR+» JSC and «N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Centre for Oncology» FSBI.

 H.E. Dr. Ghazi Mansour Zaben noted a significance of this innovative project for the whole healthcare system in Jordan, supported the project and charged his colleagues to analyze other forms of oncological diseases for development of subsequent screening programs based on data, obtained in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

 Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Health H.E. Dr. Hikmat Abu Al-Foul, who was present at the meeting, was charged to study the Russian Side’s suggestions within a month period, to specify the basic cooperation areas, to choose a pilot area with the proper infrastructure for the launch of this pilot project, to finalize the Draft Cooperation Agreement in accordance with the Jordanian Side’s interests and to submit it for signature to the Minister.

 In conclusion, H.E. Dr. Ghazi Mansour Zaben noted that the Russian-Jordanian Business Council played a major role in development of trade and economic relations between Jordan and Russia; took a favourable view of cooperation prospects in the area of supplying high-technology and innovative services by the key Russian medical institutions; and, in his turn, drew the Russian party’s attention to a broad spectrum of health care services provided by the leading Jordanian clinics and hospitals.
