Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce H.E. Mr. Al-Kabariti, the RJBC Deputy Chairman&Director Mr. Kononenko

On 9th December 2015 at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce premises the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Deputy Chairman&Director, Mr. Valeriy A. Kononenko, had a business meeting with Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, H.E. Mr. Nael Raja Al-Kabariti.

The Parties discussed the present state of the Russian-Jordanian trade and economic, scientific and technical, and investment ties; and summarized the results of the joint activities of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council in 2015.

Mr. Kononenko informed H.E. Mr. Al-Kabariti about the Third Plenary Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development as well as the Russian-Jordanian Business Forum, which are planned to be held in the first quarter of 2016 in Amman, Jordan.

In this connection the negotiators discussed the tourism development, the export promotion of the Dead Sea products, pharmaceutical and medical products from Jordan to Russia as well as the export of the agricultural sector production to Russia and the export of some grain crops to Jordan.

The RJBC Deputy Chairman&Director, Mr. Kononenko, and Chairman of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, H.E. Mr. Al-Kabariti, agreed on the events to be arranged to prepare the forthcoming Russian-Jordanian Business Forum, discussed the format of the Forum and prelisted the participants.

Also the Parties made a decision to hold the Eighth Joint Meeting of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council as a part of the coming Russian-Jordanian Business Forum. The working team responsible for the arrangements of this Session was given an assignment to work out the Session Agenda, prepare a list of items to be considered and a list of participants.
