Russian-Jordanian Business Forum Held in Amman City, Jordan

The Russian-Jordanian Business Forum took place in the period from 21^st to 22^nd March 2016 in Amman City (Jordan). This forum was held as a part of the Third Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development and aimed at the “reset” of bilateral Russian-Jordanian trade and economic relations in a broad range of areas. The Russian side was represented at the Forum the by its leading companies specialized in manufacturing products in the following fields: aviation, energy, engineering, chemistry, fertilizers and pesticides, information technologies and communications, grain processing and storage, agriculture and food production, etc.

During the Forum the business circles from both Sides were able to discuss advanced cooperation initiatives and to develop measures in order to facilitate a feasible increase of the Russian-Jordanian turnover volume.

Such sectors of economy as energy, investment, transport and logistics, tourism, agriculture, engineering industry, construction, medicine, communications and information technology were highlighted as priority directions in development of Russian-Jordanian cooperation.

The Forum participants expressed their mutual confidence that the Forum would give a powerful impetus to a successful promotion of certain Russian-Jordanian companies, products and services both to the Russian and Jordanian markets.
