In Jordan, three provinces accounted for 87% of jobs

According to the report of the Department of Statistics on employment and employability, for the six months 2015, the kingdom was created 17 000 jobs: about 32 000 new jobs were created and about 14 000 jobs cut. As of April registered the highest percentage of jobs created, the second highest activity – May.

The report noted that of the 17 000 jobs of 15 000 had been occupied by men and 2 000 – women. in the state – about 10 000 jobs, about 7000 are created in the private sector. Jordanians got most of the jobs created – about 16 000 (92%).

With regard to the territorial distribution of jobs created, the residents Tafila province received about 7 jobs per 1 000 population, the inhabitants of the Metropolitan Province and Amman – 1st place at 1 000 people, Al-Karak province of Aqaba and Al-Balqa – at least 1 space on 1000 people.

Jobs focused on the age group 15-39 years, to a lesser extent – in the group 40 years and older. 85% of jobs created for people with secondary education and below average – 15% for people with a bachelor’s degree or higher.

The report noted that fewer jobs were created in the first half of 2015 than the same period 2010-2014. At the same time in 2015. The increase in the number of jobs created in the public sector, although in the last eight years, the private sector is still ahead of the public on this indicator.
