VIII Enlarged Joint Session of Russian-Jordanian Business Council Takes Place in Amman, Jordan

The Eighth enlarged Joint Meeting of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) took place on 21/03/2016 in Amman City, at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, as a part of the Third Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development and within the framework of the Russian-Jordanian Business Forum.

The participants of the RJBC Session discussed the matters concerning the current state of a bilateral trade and economic, and investment cooperation; made special mention of an important role that the RJBC plays in enhancing cooperation and direct investment partnership between the private sector enterprises in Jordan and Russia; gave particular attention to rendering further assistance to Jordanian companies in order to help them to sell agricultural products and the Dead Sea products in a Russia’s territory; focused on the importance of further development of recreational, historical, medical and religious (pilgrimage) tourism between Russia, Jordan and Israel; stressed the significance of encouraging and enhancing mutually beneficial cooperation in productive and investment activities.

To sum up the RJBC Session, the Parties signed the Minutes of the VIII Joint Session of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council.
