Visit to Jordan of Nikas Safronov, a well-known artist, an academician of Russian and French Art Academy, Chairman of International Coordination Council of World Charity Alliance “Peacemaker” and Yuriy Safronov, Secretary General of World Charity Alliance “Peacemaker”

On the invitation of Mr. Valeriy Kononenko, Deputy Chairman of Russian Part of Russian-Jordanian Business Council, Chairman of the Committee of Culture, Tourism, Religion and Cooperation with Public Organizations, Nikas Safronov, a well-known artist, an academician of Russian and French Art Academy, Chairman of International Coordination Council of World Charity Alliance “Peacemaker” and Yuriy Safronov, Secretary General of World Charity Alliance “Peacemaker” came to Jordan on a short visit (March 18-23, 2008).

The purpose of the visit was establishing contacts with the representatives of art, cinematography, and culture in Jordan, and setting up the plans for possible cooperation in these spheres.

During the visit they met with Princess Rajwa Bent Ali, Head of Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts, who is in charge of art in Jordan. They were able to observe the exposition of paintings drawn by Spanish and Jordanian artists, and get acquainted with the history of the paintings by Jordanian and Arab artists. After getting acquainted with the works of a world-famous Russian artist Nikas Safronov, they came to an agreement about arranging an exhibition of the works by Nikas Safronov in Jordan in 2008.
