Cooperation between Jordanian and Russian Noncommercial Organizations discussed in Amman

On 21^st January, a round table discussion about the ways to enhance the cooperation between Jordanian and Russian Noncommercial Organizations took place in the Russian Science and Cultural Center in Amman.

The event was attended by the representatives of Jordanian organizations, which activities contribute to the development of the Russian-Jordanian relations.

In the course of the meeting the participants discussed the plans for their joint work for Year 2016, planned some new forms of collaboration between noncommercial and public organizations of two countries.

The Director of the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Jordan, V. Zaychikov, presented to the participants of the meeting the concept of forming a global Russian schools network abroad. The participants at the roundtable discussion agreed that the project was an effective tool for humanitarian cooperation and it would help to strengthen the position of the Russian education in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. A number of Jordanian noncommercial organizations expressed their readiness to assist in the practical implementation of that initiative.

There was also a video presentation of the Project 5-100, which aimed at maximizing the competitive position of a number of the leading Russian universities in the global educational services and research programs market. The Project was launched in May 2013 in accordance with Decree No. 599 of the President of the Russian Federation ‘Measures for State Policy Implementation in the Area of Education and Science’.

On the Jordan Club of Soviet and Russian Universities Graduates ‘Ibn Sina’ Chairman Mr. S. Tval’s initiative the parties also discussed a possibility to organize some study tours to Russia for the representatives of Jordanian noncommercial organizations in order to establish fruitful cooperation with Russian partners. In addition, the participants of the meeting took a favourable view of the practice to send children from Jordanian families for holidays to children’s summer camps in Russia and expressed interest in its further development.
