Meeting of Russian Businessmen Delegation with Dr. Montaser Oklah, Secretary General of Jordan Ministry of Industry and Trade

The meeting of the Russian Businessmen Delegation, the participants of the VIII Russian Industrial Exhibition ‘Expo-Russia 2009’, with Dr. Montaser Oklah, Secretary General of the Jordan Ministry of Industry and Trade, took place at the Jordan Ministry of Industry and Trade.

At the meeting there were also:

• Director of Foreign Trade Policy and Relations Department, Ms. Maha A. Ali;
• Head of the Russian Delegation, the Russian-Jordanian Business Council Deputy Chairman, Kononenko V.A.;
• Director of the ‘Medius’ plc. Amman Area Office;
• Member of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council Bilateral Commission for Higher Education Institutions and Research Institutes Cooperation in the area of Education, Training and Retraining of the Specialists for Jordan’s National Economy, Sorokin Y.I.;
• President of non-profit partnership ‘Nizhniy Novgorod Nuclear Engineering Business Center’, Drobinin V.N.;
• Director General of ‘Greenkomplex’, Klochko A.A.;
• Foreign-economic Activity Director of ‘Russian Institute of Power Radio Building’, Vasilyev A.V.;
• Assistant Director Development Manager of the joint-stock company ‘Cheboksarskiy Plant of Electrical Equipment ‘Elektrosila’, Maximov V.G. and others.

Dr. Montaser Oklah gave his attention to every present at the meeting member of the Russian delegation and acquainted himself with the products they brought to the Jordanian market. In his speech he thanked all the participants for taking part in the VIII Russian Industrial Exhibition ‘Expo-Russia 2009’ and wished them success in seeking a real outlet and safe business partners among the Jordan’s business community representatives.

Dr. Montaser Oklah, on his part, expressed his firm confidence of success and promised to provide support to the Russian enterprises and private industry representatives in establishing the long-run and mutually beneficial business contacts.

The matters concerning the possibility of the participation of Nizhniy Novgorod Nuclear Engineering Business Center’s private industry enterprises in component equipment deliveries for the nuclear power plant construction in the Jordan’s territory were under consideration at the meeting. The possibility of application of the Russian exploration and drinking water purification technologies was also an issue under discussion. The other matters in question were about a possible cooperation in the following areas:

• application of the Power Radio Building Institute production;
• delivery of such natural production as environment-friendly microbiological fertilizers (bio-humus);
• further development of the programs for providing and equipping the Jordan’s schools, laboratories, colleges and Universities with ‘Medius’ plc. exhibits and teaching aids.
