Business Meeting of RJBC Deputy Chairman Mr. Kononenko V. A. with Senator, Jordan Chamber of Commerce Chairman Mr. Nael Al-Kabariti

The business meeting of Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC) Deputy Chairman Mr. Kononenko V.A. with Jordan Chamber of Commerce Chairman, Senator Nael Al-Kabariti took place on 10th March 2011 at the Jordan Chamber of Commerce (JoCC).

The matters concerning the current state of the Russian-Jordanian cooperation in the trade and economic, scientific and technical spheres were on the carpet at the meeting. Also the results of the X Jubilee Russian Industrial Exhibition ‘EXPO Russia — Jordan 2011’ and the V Joint Meeting of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council were summed up.

The issues about the export promotion of agricultural sector production, pharmaceutical product and medicaments, the Dead Sea product from Jordan to Russia were also discussed.

A positive impact of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council on the development and further deepening of business connections and contacts between Russian and Jordanian companies regardless of their patterns of ownership was noted.

Business connections and contacts between the leaders and members of the RJBC Russian and Jordanian parts and the executives of a whole number of Jordan Ministries, Offices and Departments were established. The RJBC succeeded in arranging and holding a number of official visits of the Russian and Jordanian delegations and official persons to Russia and Jordan due to direct participation and preparatory activities of both RJBC parts.

The questions regarding the arrangements and holding of the ‘Jordanian-Russian Week For Communications Engineering and Its Applications’ from 25th to 31st March 2011 in Jordan were also under discussion at the meeting. This event will be held under the patronage of HRH Princess Sumaya Bint El-Hassan at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University (Ma’an City) with collaboration and assistance of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council and ‘TIRA’ Corporation (Russian Institute for Power Radiobuilding, St. Petersburg) and with support of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, the Jordan Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, the Jordan Ministry of Transport, the Jordan Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and Aqaba Railway Corporation. Russian enterprises have a wide experience in digital data broadcast systems deployment and making a uniform system of contingency communication to connect all the Departments of the country, including TV and radio broadcasting, aviation, land structures, railway transport, etc. And the Russian enterprises are ready to render assistance in developing the analogous systems in Jordan.

Senator Nael Al-Kabariti expressed satisfaction with the Council positioning in the Russian-Jordanian interactions aimed not only to exert the trade, economic and investment relations between the two countries towards further development and growth but also to arrange events covering various kinds of cooperation spheres, facilitating a bilateral dialogue and encouraging the further development of business, social, political and cultural contacts.

RJBC Deputy Chairman Mr. Kononenko V.A., on his side, in the name of the Council and on his own behalf made a high appraisal of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce and Senator Nael Al-Kabariti’s activities in all abovementioned cooperation fields.

RJBC Deputy Chairman Mr. Kononenko V.A. on behalf of the International Coordinating Council of the World Charitable Alliance ‘Mirotvorets’ (‘Peacemaker’) awarded Senator Nael Al-Kabariti the Order ‘Star of Peacemaker’ for a major and valuable contribution to the development of the trade and economic, scientific and technical cooperation, for his personal contribution to the consolidation of Peace, friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. He congratulated Senator, JoCC Chairman Mr. Nael Al-Kabariti on the occasion of receiving a High International Award and wished him further success in his activities to the benefit of people of both countries — Russia and Jordan.
