Russian Delegation of Leading Aircraft Manufacturers Has Meeting at Jordan Ministry of Transport

On 25^th March 2016 the Russian leading civil aircraft and equipment manufacturers had a meeting with the representatives of the Jordanian major air carriers and airlines at the Jordan Ministry of Transport. The meeting was arranged and held with the Russian-Jordanian Business Council’s assistance as a part of the Third Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development.

Representatives of the key Russian companies JSC “Sukhoi Civil Aircraft” (a civil aircraft Sukhoi Superjet 100), OJSC “Scientific and Production Corporation “Irkut” (a civil aircraft MC-21, a primary training aircraft Yak-152), JSC “VNIIRA” (surveillance aids, complexes of air traffic control automation aids), JSC “Almaz-Antey” (air traffic control equipment) showed presentations about the latest Russian developments in the field of civil aircraft building and state-of-the-art air traffic control systems. The Jordanian airlines representatives took a keen interest in the physical and operational characteristics of the aircrafts presented by the Russian Side; a number of features of the represented aircrafts correspond to the characteristics of the best world analogues, some performance characteristics are ahead of the highest world technical achievements of the global brands.

To sum up, both Parties noted good results of their first meeting. The Jordanian Side confirmed the interest in the presented products, so the negotiators planned several meetings in the future in order to elaborate in detail a specified range of issues regarding the possible mutually beneficial cooperation in this area.
