The RJBC Chairman and Director Mr. Kononenko, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Mr. Bolotin

On 7th December 2015 at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Jordan, Deputy Chairman and Director of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council (RJBC), Mr. Kononenko, had a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Mr. Bolotin, for the purpose to discuss the arrangements for the Third Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development as well as the Russian-Jordanian Business Forum, which are going to take place in the first two quarters of 2016.

During the meeting Mr. Kononenko and Mr. Bolotin focused upon the questions relating to preparation and holding of the Third Session of the Russian-Jordanian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation Development as well as the Russian-Jordanian Business Forum, which are planned to be held in the first two quarters of 2016 in Amman. The negotiators emphasized the necessity to continue holding events aiming at expansion of trade turnover, cooperation in industry, innovation technologies and investments including expansion of business community’s exchanges and participation of Russian and Jordanian companies in the international and specialized exhibitions and forums arranged in the territories of both countries.

The Parties gave particular attention to the development of recreational, medical and religious (pilgrimage) tourism as well as rendering assistance to the export of agricultural products, pharmaceutical products and the Dead Sea products.

The Ambassador familiarized himself with the provided information about the activities of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council for the past period and wished further success in the implementation of trade and economic, scientific and technological, and investment projects aimed at further mutually beneficial cooperation and strengthening of the friendly ties between Russia and Jordan.

In conclusion, on behalf of the Russian-Jordanian Business Council Mr. Kononenko awarded Mr. Bolotin with a Medal for Contribution to Development of Economic and Friendly Relations between Russia and Jordan and wished him new successes in his diplomatic activities and further realization of trade, economic and social projects in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan’s territory.
