Jordan opens the world’s largest waterslide

The world’s largest waterslide has been built in Jordan. According to eTurboNews, its length is 611 meters. It is noted that the waterslide has entered the Guinness Book of Records. This achievement has been recorded by one of the experts working for the Guinness Book of Records.

Monaco Business Development and Ziyad Mazzawi Corporation constructed the waterslide next to the Dead Sea. The aim of the project was to draw tourists’ attention to the attractiveness of the tourism industry in Jordan. According to these companies’ representatives, such remarkable structures show that Jordan is a great place for a holiday for families with children.

Jordan is a popular tourist destination. Tourists are attracted by beaches, coral reefs in the Gulf of Aqaba, the Dead Sea and one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, Petra, which is a city carved from stone. Meanwhile, Jordan is still not very popular with Russian tourists because of rather high prices. Thus, according to the Federal Tourism Agency, in 2014 about eight thousand tourists from Russia spent their holidays in this country.
