“ZTR” will supply transformers and reactors in Jordan

Company “ZTR” will supply transformers and reactors for the Jordanian company National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), the correspondent «proIT».

Under the terms of the agreement ZTR manufactured and shipped the 2 autotransformer 400 MVA 400 kV, 2 earthing transformer and shunt reactor 2. The equipment will be installed at the substation Amman West (Jordan). Also in the scope of supply will include site development “ZTR” – monitoring system, the company informed.

In 2013 NEPCO announced a tender for the supply of equipment for the substation Amman West. Previously, “ZTR” has already had experience of cooperation with the National Electric Power Company. From 1996 to 2000, the company has set voltage class transformers 9 and 33 of the 132 kV power facilities for various companies. To be able to participate in the tender, specialists “ZTR” has required extensive training. In terms of competition it was necessary to ensure not only the production and marine transportation equipment, but also to arrange customs clearance in Jordan, delivering directly to the substation, installation and commissioning. To address these issues, “ZTR” organized elaborate tasks with local subcontractors in Jordan.
