On 4th April 2016, at the premises of the Jordan Ministry of Information and Communications Technology, RJBC Deputy Chairman and Director, Mr. Kononenko, and Managing Director of Foreign Relations at the Joint-Stock Financial Corporation “Sistema”, Mr. Chinyaev, had a meeting with Jordan Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Ms. Majd Shweikeh.
Present at the meeting were: Senator and Chairman of Amman Chamber of Industry, Dr. Ziad B. Homsi, and Secretary General, Board Member of Amman Chamber of Industry, Mr. Sa’ad Yassin.
The negotiators considered the issues on cooperation in the area of information and communication technologies.
The Minister showed particular interest in a presented by the Joint-Stock Financial Corporation “Sistema” concept of ‘A Smart City’, which they have already implemented at the Moscow City Telephone Network.
The intelligent integrated system ‘Smart city’ provides the security and management of all elements of the city ecosystem, reduces technology-related risks and threats, and increases the security of a person and public infrastructure.
The developed single scalable service platform architecture for providing services of the ‘Smart city’ includes:
- video servers to work with a video field;
- an integrated platform, combining all the elements of the solution;
- a protected integrated video data warehouse;
- means to connect to video analytics functions (video analytics system) and support an effective quality assured service provision that meets the requirements of a particular customer and the scale of the problems to be solved in the field of a housing and utility sector, the city infrastructure, private and public transportation, healthcare providing institutions, social institutions, apartments, offices, etc.
Also the Parties considered the questions about the possibility to use the Russian microchips in state and private infrastructure projects in Jordan; for instance, in universal electronic cards, passports and visas, transport tickets, a radio frequency identification in livestock, etc.
To sum up, the participants of the meeting noted that provided by the Russian side offers were topical and high-tech and that there was a brisk demand for such technologies and services in Jordan. Both Parties announced their intention to go on working in mutually beneficial cooperation.
